    Can anyone identify this RIB?

Spotted this in the harbour earlier. Not seen a forward control RIB with this kind of rigid covering before. I assumed it was ex-military/police but still can’t find anything like it. Anyone know what it is or who made it?

I can see some similar looking RHIBs made by a company called Titan.

Look up "Pilot RHIBs" on google images.

I can't identify exactly that one, though.

    Zodiac Pro or Bombard.

Redbay Stormforce, probably an 8.4 I'd say.

For no reason at all, here's a picture of my RIB after a trip to the marine engineers today.

Wow, yes it is! Good spot. Just waiting for a smartcraft cable before getting out in it again.

    Thank you.

I've been around RIB's throughout my life and they're a real passion of mine, owned a few and been in many more.

    Enjoy yours whenever you can.

It could be a Parker commercial or a Redbay.

Didn't know there were any boaters on here. No reason not to be I suppose.

Where do we all boat from and what boats have we got then?

I'm just between boats at present having just sold my Ranieri centre console. With the market as it is I got a great price but i'm now finding it very hard to find the replacement. We are looking for a late model Antares 7 or Merry Fisher 695 but with being busy at work during the week, by the time I can go and view anything at the weekend it's been sold.
The good weather this weekend isn't helping, ordinarily we would be anchored up in Mupe Bay or Lulworth Cove with a picnic and the paddle board.
We sail out of Portland Marina, Dorset.

I will! I was pulling new fuel line through and must have knackered the data cable. Didn't know until I fitted Bluetooth vessel view which wouldn't work. Had to take it to the Mercury dealer to reset the comms, now just waiting on a new cable.

After that, we're off! Inchkeith, Isle of May, up river to Stirling and planning a Highland adventure later - Moray Firth, Loch Ness etc!

Too far inland these days (Oxon) to keep a boat and have never had a RIB but used to have a share in a lovely Westerly at Lymington back in the day (am from near there). House still seems to be full of yachting magazines despite the fact that we live pretty much in the middle of England these days.
Often think of buying a RIB but we’d be so far away from it, or have to trailer it so far, that I suspect it wouldn’t get used. May have settle for a Canadian canoe for the Thames!

Lymington is lovely. Opens up the Solent for some nice time on the water with IOW a hop away.
We cruise along the Jurassic coast as far as Kimmeridge. Having a bigger boat will allow us to go a bit further to Poole if we want.
