Been a lot of foaming-at-the-mouth from people criticising him for wearing it to a football match who don't seem to realise how sports-sponsorship deals work...

Then again there are the green-eyed trolls who simply hate him for being wealthy and claim he deserved it...

Ah, Humanity, once again you give me cause to despise you...

It sickens me that we have to consider what to wear when we go out now. How is the thief going to get rid of that? They'd have to have some serious connections and the people that do generally wouldn't be nicking it off a wrist at a football match. Totally pointless.

To quote the learned gentleman...."Ah, Humanity, once again you give me cause to despise you..."

    Heartily agree.

There's a toxic (and profoundly hypocritical) undercurrent of 'thought' in modern society that expressions of personal wealth are despicable, and that the wealthy somehow deserve to be separated from their goods.

The vast majority of Rolex (by way of the most conspicuous example) owners I know personally are very ordinary people who have worked very hard all their adult lives, and amassed a little wealth to be enjoyed in their latter decades.

It sickens me to the core of my being that society is rife with scum who contribute nothing, and yet feel they have a Right to simply thieve from those who have contributed all their lives.

Sure, there are examples of unearned wealth, but they are few in number by comparison, and they no more deserve to be assaulted and robbed than anyone else!

Agreed gents - it’s just terrible that someone steals someone’s watch in any circumstances, the value of it just makes it seem even worse.

In some ways it’s makes me sad that 20 years into this hobby the watches I once aspired to, I will never own as I don’t want to worry about what’s on my wrist if I go to certain places or events.

So, how’s it been taken from him?

    I assume he was “mugged”.

Yes, whilst walking to his McLaren (Parked in the Wembley Carpark) after the game.

Horrible thing to happen to anyone.
