The Madness of After Market Bracelet Prices

If we ever needed evidence of being ripped off. The cost of an aftermarket bracelet in cheap 316l steel , versus a hand made solid silver bracelet..
Iím fed up of being charged silly prices for stuff like links and clasps.. madnessÖ.

Puting prices aside, I certainly wouldnt want a silver bracelet. It would need polishing regularly.

Is that Tudor bracelet genuine or aftermarket?

I was quoted £5800 for an AP Offshore bracelet a few months ago so in the grand scheme of things the prices you show aren't too bad. Lol

As ling as there are mugs prepared to pay the price, theyíll keep on charging the price.

If youíre paranoid that your watch will be deemed a franken if it has an aftermarket bracelet/strap/click siping then youíre the dirt of mug who keeps the madness going!

The OP probably is confused between OEM and aftermarket.
Plus he is quoting a price from C24. He can certainly try to replace the original bracelet with the said silver bracelet and let us know how he gets on.

I prefer to buy direct from China and cut out the middleman.

Silver is very inexpensive. £18 per ounce. The point being the material is pretty inconsequential really, gold would be a very different matter. What you're paying for is time, branding and demand in both instances, and the prices speak for themselves.

Your only partially correct; what your paying for is branding.

Very good watch bracelets can be purchased for under £100 (actually, decent watches on good bracelets can be bought for under £100), paying multiple hundreds or thousands is just brands taking the mick.

Which bracelet would that be? Anything that fits a 79090?
