    CWCs latest reissue

    Just popped up on Instagram
It’s a reissue of the 82 Royal Navy Chrono.
    Looks good in the pictures
It has a display back with quite a pretty movement

Yeah I've been following this with interest. I used to have the seventies chronograph reissue and airways regretted selling it as the process went bonkers after. I suspect this one will be out of my reach but it's a lovely thing. Nice that you get a solid back aswell if exhibition isn't your thing and prefer to keep it more authentic. I think you receive both casebacks.

Will be very interested to see price. My guess is either £1,750 or £1,995. Either of which would certainly put it out of my reach.

Yeah, seen it - but will await to see the price.

Although I like CWC, I think their's is likely to be considerably more expensive than the soon to be released Smiths Mono-pusher; so that's where my money would go.

    However, we'll wait and see.

I like the look of it, but I prefer the earlier version with white hands.

    Says "Sold Out."

I like this brushed version better than the previous polished ones.

I note it says that you can choose original Tritium Dials and hands or modern equivalents

They must have found a stash of the old 82 bits n bobs
I will be sticking with mine

Ive seen this too and thought the boat had sailed. In terms of price when you google the cwc 1982 navy chronograph the following text appears on the search link and the figure of £5K appears with sold out? I'd like to know more but that price is totally confusing.

From the early 1970s to the mid 1980s, CWC supplied the military mechanical chronograph, issued to RAF and Royal Navy pilots. The movement used was the ...

    They can’t be £5k
Originals can be had for £1500-£2000
I don’t think any have been sold yet. It’s just a holding position for the website.

Thanks I was hoping someone would confirm that.

I have a reissue CWC pilot chronograph I bought here a month ago and love it.

I want an issued watch but can't find anything decent at the 2K mark thus far..

The case on my reissue is polished and overall 1mm thicker than the originals I believe.

I wonder what the case will be on the new reissues.
