A formation of 10 helicopters just flew over my house!

Didn't have time to grab my camera, but they we're pretty low and looked awesome.
I'm guessing it was that 10 Puma 50th anniversary flight probably?
    Live at post code ST18.
We frequently get Chinooks (very low usually) and the odd Apache, but nothing like this!

PS I'd assumed the 'copters were going in and out of MOD Stafford, but not sure if they've actually got a helipad(s).
    Anyone know?

Living near Chicksands we regularly get Chinooks and Apaches low over our village. I love seeing them.

Until a couple of years ago we were in the main test area for the Airlander flying out of Cardington - that was awesome to watch.
So clever my foot fell off.

In Northern Ireland we used to have Chinooks / Lynx / Wessex's all around us day in, day out.

I can't remember a week of my youth not seeing a helicopter.

    Funny how times change.

A formation of 10 helicopters just flew over my house!

We get MOD choppers over our house daily in West London we had a US Navy Seahawk over the other weekend.

I live under the western north south airway that they use to transit London airspace, not far from the Thames for the east west route and about 4 miles from RAF Northolt.
In fact as I was writing this post this flew over. It’s on its way to Northolt according to flight radar.

I would like to have seen the Puma flight past, they have always been a favourite of mine

No sign of them over us today, just down the road from Farnborough.

We're used to Chinooks, when the sun shines they get one or two out to play!

Presume like us you are in Clophill, my understanding is that they fly into Chicksands where the software updates are done

Ah yes, guess they forgot about the formation part! Only 9 flew over me when I filmed them.

We often see a police helicopter hovering, quite low, over an adjacent park. I don't think it's anything to do with formations though...
