    A watch for each decade

I was thinking about my military or military inspired collection (small though it is) and I have a watch from the 70’s, another from the 90’s (which is a reissue of an Omega from the 50’s) and one from the twenty tens.

If you could have any British military watch you wanted but only only one from each decade, what watches would you choose. One from each decade. The starting date is 1950 and the end date is 2020. No homages or reissues so my Dynamic III would be out. What would make your list?

    Me again!

I had to think about this one
Some decades are easier than others
You then have the fantasy collection or something more obtainable so : (I have also gone back to the 30s because I am sad) cheaper 1st fantasy 2nd

30s Moeris ATP or Ebel ATP
40s Record WWW or JLC WWW
    50s Lemania HS9 chronograph, Omega 53 or Rolex A/6538
    60s Hamilton 6B / Smiths 6B or Seamaster 300 / Lemania double button chrono
70s Hamilton 6BB / lost navigator 6BB or Rolex double stamped 5513/5517 (Lemania diver supervisors watch is an alternative - 70s was a good decade for MOD watches)
    80s Precista 6BB or CWC diver 1980
    90s Seiko gen2 or Seiko gen1
00s gshock or the citizen eco drive diver

Ok so I have just listed my owned / wanted list as opposed to answering your question…

40s - something from the dirty dozen
    60s - Omega SM300 (165.024) - full military issue of course
    70s - Rolex Milsub
80s - has to be a CWC. The Auto diver is an obvious choice, but just to throw some variety in, I will nominate the Nuclear Submarine non lume G10 Navigator.

Some great choices. For the 50’sI’m conflicted between the Omega, the IWC and the Lemania.
60’s would be Smiths or the Seamaster.
70’s milsub seems obvious but I’m enjoying the Hamilton W10 on my wrist.
    80’s CWC diver
90’s Seiko gen 1 or maybe a CWC G10 because it needs to be in there somewhere.
00’s. Tell me more about the citizen
    10’s the SBS.

I agree with your G10 comment, but by 1990 Silvermans were selling to the general public. Perhaps one of the mid 90s Navigators. Issued in very small numbers and worthy of inclusion

I’ll have a go but I’m dropping the 2010s for the 1940s as the latter is much more interesting.

    40s Longines COSD
    50s Rolex A6538
    60s BP Fifty Fathoms W10
    70s Rolex 5513/5517
    80s CWC auto
    90s CWC SBS
    00s CWC SBS (W10)
