    Things to do in Nuneaton

I have a day to kill in Nuneaton tomorrow.
Anyone have any recommendations as to how best spend my time??
    Thanks in advance

Larry Grayson used to live there - perhaps a pilgrimage to his old home?
    Cheers,

I used to visit my gran in Nuneaton. Only thing I remember, other than my gran, was a harvester we used to go to. As I can't recall anything else I'd say the idea of an all dayer in spoons isn't a bad one!

If it's anything like my local Spoons it's a veritable Petri Dish

A day in sunny nunny - bottle of buckfast in the park then get the short bus ride to Bedworth, for a truly authentic run down midlands small town experience…

I grew up close to Nuneaton. Even when it was a thriving town there was nothing to do. Now it's one of those sad ghost towns.
If I was forced to spend a day in the vicinity, I'd jump on a bus to Coventry - good motor museum in the city centre, plus the 'new' cathedral is always worth a look.

Bedworth... the town I grew up in! Last time I visited I saw a chav and his dog wearing what looked suspiciously like matching stab vests.

As soon as you get there turn around and head in the opposite direction unless you are looking for the genuine “Royston vasey” experience

This is how far away you could get from Nuneaton in a 6 hour drive, so plenty of options.

I know that it's an hour away but with the nice weather if you are mobile you could head for the National Memorial Arboretum.

There's a restaurant called San Giovanni at a place called Sheepy Magna, about 10 miles north of there. Go there. They do a cracking Margarita.

Since when was Bedford in the Midlands? We don’t want it…. It stays (regionally) in the south!

I live about 10 minutes from nuneaton buddy.

If I'm honest not alot, it's an OK town, there is a nice jewelers selling some nice watches in the main high street opposite H Samuel's and a wetherspoons around the corner to celebrate you're new after haha

You may see some wandering around the town as some are based at Gamecock Barracks.

Not had a bad day so far. Browsed a few jewelers, one being the above mentioned Rolex AD. Tried on a LHD Pelagos to compare with my BB58 Blue to see if a future trade is on the cards. Walked around the park, visited the Museum, been around the town about 8 times, and now sat waiting for my lunch whilst people watching. Also nearly 15,000 steps before lunch isn't bad.
