IWC Mark XVIII, “Tribute to Mark XI”. Only 1948 of these were released back in 2017. I acquired this in February of this year. At present it’s my only automatic. I’ve worn it for a couple of months at a time and have had no particular desire to wear anything else. I’m not a collector. I’ve had a couple of the Mark XV model and would like to have a Mark XII one day.

My 16570 Explorer II (black dial) is getting all my attention right now. It’s seen by many as the less-loved little brother of the GMT Master II, but I think it’s superior. It’s more stealthy, more versatile, and has almost all the same features for less money. Love it.

When this first arrived I was not sure if I would keep it, but now I cannot stop wearing it.

Cheap as chips compared to most on here, but it’s currently this chunk of micro brand quartz Titanium. Rather scary how good it is for a shade over £250!

Pretty sure that’s not true. People don’t always wear their favourite on a Friday. The OPs topic was a good one not sure why you took to trying to shoot it down.

OP my current favourite has to be the 2254. That’s with summer being upon us and I love it on a NATO.

    Correct (July 1967).
Thank you, it is indeed a lovely thing.
This one is a bit of a rarity as I've only seen one other that has all the bezel markers lumed.

I keep checking them out on Chrono 24. There’s some lovely examples - with price tags to match - but yours looks better than any available there. Can I ask how long you’ve owned it?

I got it in April 2007 and had it serviced by IWC at the end of 2008...I'm ashamed to say that it's hardly seen the light of day since.

Rolex maybe obvious and some may say boring, but my 16600 is giving me the most enjoyment right now, although I have just ordered my first pair of glasses as I noticed reading the date was starting to get difficult, joys of getting old!!

My ‘68 Speedmaster ‘Transitional’. It’s been the favourite for a long time now. My problem is that there’s a significant cluster (double figures) in joint second, which makes it very difficult to trim the numbers.

Stowa Flieger Bronze Vintage 36. I wear it almost daily now on rotation with the Hamilton Pilot Pioneer Mechanical so essentially they both get equal wrist time I suppose.

it is rather strange that after I got this around two months ago, I started to loss interest in my Seikos or even the YM that I was planned to save for...

might be I just wanted to have this over the past ten years and subconsciously I think I am done in the pursuing of any new watches.

I allways come back to my "simple" PRS29, built 2018, ... 100% readable and... strong ... and still nice to see.

I seem to be wearing my Victorinox Inox an awful lot lately, mainly due to the that I’m doing bits and bobs around the house and garden rather than it being a current favourite.

I think right now, my favourite is a rather marmite watch… Longines Avigation Big Crown Monopusher Chrono. Or some words to that effect… rather a mouthful whatever it’s called.

All the things I shouldn’t like in a watch… and yet somehow gives me joy.

This has to be my current favourite which is getting a great deal of wrist time since I acquired it from a fellow TZ'er. It wears perfectly on my wrist & the case finishing is fantastic, beadblasted, brushed & polished elements making an interesting contrast. Having the bracelet which is quite scarce I believe is a bonus too, along with the 'Kodiak' waterproof leather strap.

Excuse the Q&D photo taken the other day, in very poor light.

I'm with the "which is you favourite child" view, I have many watches and all have an appeal.

The latest arrival always gets a lot of wrist time, just to see how it looks, feels and runs, but it doesn't automatically become my favourite.

Same with the Friday watch. I either just have the same watch I ended Thursday in or pick something I think will appeal to some when it appears in the thread.

Despite having a few other, possibly 'nicer' watches, this one ticks all the boxes for me. I'm pretty much a one-watch person thanks to the 7A!

I like that. Rather a lot. It combines a set of features that seem pretty unpopular right now - a slim rotating bezel, large, clear chrono subdials and a nicely-integrated bracelet - yet to my eye those features make the design coherence all the greater, and improves functionality. Not sure about the crown placement, but I could live with it.

The crown is the least used 'device' on the watch (twice a year when the clocks change), so having it tucked away where it is makes perfect design sense. A bezel on a chrono is quirky but it comes in handy. Plus it's a marvel of engineering inside and is amongst the most accurate mechanical quartz watches ever made (I know it lays claim to being the first).

Overall. As you allude, everything about it just seems to 'work'. I have two others as 'spares', plus lots of parts too - so, yep, it's the watch for me above all others

I see that as a modern classic…..an attempt by Rolex to get the basic shape slimmer (lugs) and the whole design better-looking. It will , I think, influence many designs. If only by finally getting the lugs right.

I'm a fan of the obese plots. I went to RSJ yesterday to get a bigger blade and it fits gre6 now. I am keen to try find a way to get my SD43 on Oysterflex but that will be difficult.

Never been one to care about lugs but I do think the crown on this looks a bit out when it's screwed in, just a bit scared to force it.
