    Zubmariner? Is it a thing?

On another forum a member is selling three 16610 and is asking a bit more for the Zub.

No matter how kind you are, German children are kinder.

    Typo.

Z is next to S on the keyboard.

Isn’t it to do with the font used for the S

It's the shape of the S in Submariner which resembles an inverted Z.

Maybe the disbelievers won't be so quick to judge next time. Another to add to the Rolex dictionary.

The Rolex 16610 was introduced to the model range in 1989 and it remained in production for approximately 20 years. During that time Rolex produced 6 dial variants known by collectors as Mk’s ,the watch I am pleased to offer today is the Mk II variant which is clearly differentiated from the other variants by the Shape of the S in Submariner which resembles an inverted Z.

It’s in the same ballpark as the APH as mentioned by the seller and of course the stick, rectangle dial and not forgetting the long E GMTs. No difference really to the tables that show the 5 or 6 different Red Subs and DRSDs or floating Daytonas.

    The joys of vintage.
