My son had the same issue with his. Took it back to the AD and they sorted the issue with no further issue.

In fact, it was just out of guarantee too.

The GMT is still my favourite even though it has recently succumbed to the dreaded date wheel issue after three and a half years of ownership. I guess it’s nearly due a service so it will be going back to Tudor at some point. Hopefully the service time will come down from the quite frankly ridiculous 12 weeks that they’re currently quoting.

I clocked a Tudor DJ in Cambridge this morning whilst waiting for specsavers to open.
even with my old glasses I thought that it was a fine and handsome watch.
like many different brands I won’t pretend to know all the ins and outs but I fine looking watch and what seems a keen price also.

Tudor and omega occupy the same mental space for me- I respect the watches and I know they have good designs but I just haven’t found one that’s a “must have” yet. Even vintage pieces I don’t have a lot of nostalgia for, such as the Tudor sub.

I'd agree on that apart from the speedy. It's almost in its own category.

If I was looking for a decent, auto, divers watch sub £5k I'd be thinking of a seamaster and a black bay in the same conversation.

Wondering why people with no interest in watches are on a watch forum?

Had a Pelagos LHD for a short while but after a honeymoon period moved it on to raise money for (another) Rolex. Then bought a blue Pelagos from the forum to wear on rubber as a “do everything and anything” watch and again, shifted it to raise funds.

Recently picked this up in another Forum stalwart deal and on NATO seems to tick every box for a “do anything” watch. Gym, swim, dog walk, putting up new fence panels, tip run, going shopping……

Close enough to the vintage sub I can never afford, and reminds me of this (which I adore)

Reckon that's your missus in that photo.................................

I look at most of the Tudors, and think........ Mmmmm - possibly. (Some of the matt-look designs shown look okay)

    But:
    • The ones with those spade hands - No
    • The all-blue designs - No
    • The incongruous lack of crown-guards on (most) of their designs - No.

I think the lack of crown-guards is down to the desire to create a difference from Rolex. I'm reminded of the Blackberry Playbook, which in the desire to NOT follow Apple in their swipe-commands - all Blackberry's 'swipes' were the 2nd-most intuitive.

    My feet, my socks ..

I have a few watches and the all blue is a good refreshing change. The bracelet is probably my most comfortable aside from the Rolex Rubber type, and the white is nice and distinctive. I like it !

The socks are recreations ( fake or replica if you will) of tradition English rugby socks.

    I meant the wrist, primarily.......................

Hey, don't get me wrong - clearly there are design features that appeal to many, just not for me (as per the original query).

(p.s............... don't show this to your missus )

I agree re the Tudor sub, I can't get excited about it. I rotate a Railmaster and a Black Bay, nothing in them re quality, just aesthetics , plus it's nice Tudor now use in-house movements , and they test and adjust to tighter tolerances then COSH. I find myself reaching for the BB58 more often now

Id absolutely buy an older pre In house movement model (ETA etc), there is a charm to the older subs and day dates that the new ones just don't have.

Add to that, 2 of the newer ones I've had suffered from poor workmanship.

A discontinued 36mm Day Date with fluted bezel on the other hand.....
