That’s the market we’re in. I would be very surprised if the production cost of most of the watches we buy is more than 10% of the price we pay.
so panerai are inviting people to come and see the new globetrotter case

If you make a case like that, it should be made out of aluminium. And be a quarter of the price they're asking now...
Cheaper than most LV bags.
Luxury bits luxury prices. It is what it is.
I imagine it'll be used instead of a discount on watches by ADs. That hugely inflated price will give the impression of a huge discount.
Globetrotter has become ridiculously expensive and they've fully embraced the whole Veblenny squeeze-the-customer-to-see-how much-they-will-bleed ethic. I still quite like them though (and sincerely hope I can make this one last so I don't need to buy another).
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
To be fair if it actually does the job its already 50% up on most Panerai Products

I don’t like that the lid hinges on the shortest side, but aside from that its poorly designed; the storage tray areas at the front? where you keep your spare straps, springbars and strap changing tool? as soon as you stand the ‘travel case’ up all those bits drop down onto your watches scratching them.. genius.
Globe trotter?
Did this make anyone else think of Trotters Independent Traders on the side of a yellow Reliant Robin? Market stall tat.
