Because of the fact they are either stupid or careless and they want everyone to feel sorry for them, innocent victims etc.

Mick, I do rather hope that comment IS NOT directed at me as the OP on the speeding ticket thread ???

No it wasn't directed at you, it was answering a specific question to one person.

I'm not sure what you've been reading, but to me, Gyp's posts are clearly brimming with acceptance; it's part of what makes them so charming.

What is it with people who, when waiting to cross the road, do so with their toes either right up to the edge of the road or sometimes even over the edge of the curb?

    Stop it!

Why is it that the first time that I'm aware of a small knick to my hand is when I use sanitiser?

Another annoying crossing the road habit: why do some people insist on pushing the button on a light controlled pelican crossing when there is very little traffic about where they could just as easily wait a few seconds until the lone car on the road passes and then safely cross instead of pushing the button initiating a red light and then unecessarily holding up any traffic that does happen to arrive?
I`m only concerned about the environment - all this stop/starting is bad for the air quality.....!

If there is no or little traffic why does it all suddenly show up when the button is pushed and the light turns red?

Why it’s taken me this long working from home to buy a nice tracksuit. Crew 25% off everything & saw it at the weekend.

Will never leave the house wearing it as it’s a delightful ‘chav grey’ colour. I feel I need to walk with a swagger and my knees out to the side.

Is that an observation or are you questioning my post?

Have you never had to stop at a crossing where no one is actually crossing only to see the crossee having already crossed and walking down the footpath having already reached the other side of the road in plenty of time?

I’ll never understand why recruiting managers ignore communications from candidates in the week before interview.

I applied for a job and had to prepare a 10 minute presentation on a given subject. The presentation had to be sent to the recruiting manager by lunchtime today. As I was going to be away for a few days I sent mine over on Wednesday. Said manager has now left for the weekend and I still do not have confirmation he’s received my presentation. Interview is scheduled for first thing Monday.

If that’s the way they deal with applicants then I suspect they will be the same as a manager so I have withdrawn my application.

Probably end up on 'Motorway Cops' if you go out in it! Most of their 'customers seem to favour wearing them. Always wondered why?

I’ve got a lovely light grey house jumper. I say house jumper as my wife won’t let me wear it outside, as it is too chavy apparently.

I withdrew from similar. They almost begged me to continue. I did and it was a mistake. One of my worst managers ever. It taught me a lot about becoming the leader I wanted to work for.

Frustrating but you made the correct call I believe. I wouldn’t want to do it again.

Haha brilliant. She’s ok with it surprisingly, but tracksuit bottoms are just not a good look if you aren’t shuffling about on a corner with one hand down the front & selling drugs.

Slight stereotype but we know what I mean !

For the full effect you should walk around with one hand down the front of your tracky bottoms fondling your knackers.

Wife was gardening & I walked into the garden room doing just that, wanted to see her reaction.

I am now banned from hand & tracky bottoms interactions!

You need to tuck the tracksuit bottoms into your socks and wear sliders.

Worse than this are parents who have their pushchair with front wheels raised into the road for a launch start.

I just caved in and bought some arcteryx tracksuit bottoms. Not worth the money but absolute luxury and probably acceptable outdoors. For home I still prefer general prison joggers

Usually step one is wfh tracksuit bottoms and step two is put on a stone. At some point a 1/4 zip or three is inevitable.

Those jersey green tracksuits are class, but not as eye catching(watering) as the new Greggs version:

Wiley said it was an Arcteryx tracksuit, but perhaps he spelled it incorrectly?

Interested on the fit, joking aside Wiley when you get them - if they are too skinny I cannot even consider them!

No need for photos as we all know what tracksuit bottoms show too much of
