If there's any corrosion or oxidation between the battery terminal and the device terminal, turning the battery cleans it and allows a better contact to be made, giving you a tiny bit more life. You can get the same effect by swapping around the batteries if there's more than one of them.

Improved contact (surface oxidation etc removed) so less resistance.

^^^ I Googled it after posting

Makes sense though said oxidisation isn't visibly obvious.

    Love those Pret shots!
    Which restaurant is this? Thanks!

Towards the end of my commuting years I lost my patience with these morons and on more than one occasion placed my hand on the middle of the chest of the front person trying to force their way onto the train as I tried to step off, physically pushing them backwards with a technique I learned on the rugby field, avoiding eye contact and just shoving them firmly straight backwards and out of the way. Not one of them ever shouted at me, they just looked shocked tbh!

People who think nose piercings/rings and especially septum piercings are attractive. I assume they aren’t comfortable either.

Women entering into relationships with gangster / undesirables.

A good friend of mines daughter has decided to have a relationship with a drug dealer. Nothing new there as it’s happened since time began but it baffles me when the girls are good looking, intelligent and from good families.

This girl has a law degree, very Intelligent and has a lovely personality yet has decided to entertain one of this morons.

    It’s always baffled me.

I totally agree, not a great concept at all. She might just like the blingy daring lifestyle.

DNA is a bit more pragmatic than we are I guess, and knows that throughout history, the slightly psychopathic hard man with a big sword has rarely starved. As a result, terrible character traits can seem attractive, to some at least. Not a recipe for a happy life though, I do hope your friend’s daughter figures that out.

Coz she would not stop banging on and flaying her arms around like a four year seeing a windmill for a first time.

Funny, but I’ve been thinking about buying one.

I honestly think it might be useful in rounding up all the leaves that gather from autumn onwards - it can be a long weekly task keeping the leaves swept at times.
It's just a matter of time...

I had the same view of a leaf blower, didn't stop be buying one... Turns out to be very useful.

Moving leaves... Obviously. To a corner then collect and dispose, or just blow somewhere else.

Cleaning the garage ... Gets rid of anything stray on the floor with ease, mainly dust/leaves etc.

    Clearing flower beds, of leaves.

    Scaring my children.

    Creating 80s music videos.

If mine broke ... I'd replace it promptly.

Obviously surely?! It means there's no space for his wife !

The thing that surprised me is the police allowed him to drive the bull back home again. As to why, cheaper than using a truck probably - plus some quiet company for the journey.
