People who insist on driving on the middle and outside land leaving the inside lane completely empty.
I’m lazy enough to buy some every now and then, so I approve and don’t see it as a sign. I think the doom became obvious when they started to sell pre-fried minced meat and boiled eggs.
People in the outside lane of the motorway going 65mph with two clear lanes beside them.
I always flash them, they always move, make a visible huff and then go back into the outside lane once I'm ahead of them.
Pointless.

More sit in the middle lane, as that is their 'comfort zone'. They don't have to mix with trucks/trailers or the faster cars in the outside lane.
Seen it so many times when towing a trailer in inside lane - look in mirror, and there is someone sitting in middle lane doing same speed as me. Indicate once, no move, indicate twice - still no move to 3rd lane, or flash of acknowledgement - so I then indicate and pull out. They notice THEN!!! They usually brake hard because they have no idea that the outside lane is empty, and then glower like fcuk when they go past me again.

It's stupid because the middle lane is probably the most dangerous. People can come in at you from both sides and the lorries use it too.
If I flash a few times and they still don't move I edge out to the right and put the full beams on. That aims it right in their driver side mirror and the only way they're stopping it is if they get out of the way.
Why the person who kept harassing me about my inefficient "old banger" "killing the planet" has just gone out and bought himself an M3 4 litre V8 ? After him showing it to me, I couldn't resist:-

On the way from London, I was not in any particular rush and so remained in the 'slow' lane. It was surprising the number of cars I overtook who were permanently fixed in the middle lane.

GLC but it wasn't my choice. The next car is my choice and will be probably be a 3 series estate.
The problem is years of motorbikes in central London. I don't have a lot of patience. But yep, BMW motorbikes.
I used to have an Audi and it did is the only car I've had where I got speeding points and also had an accident (with a London bus lol!). I have a Velar now and spend most of the drive trying to make sure it doesn't break down so that keeps me busy!

It`s unbelievable the amount of dimwitted, dopey clowns sat in lane 2 or 3 on a 4-lane stretch of motorway in a world of their own and completely oblivious to the fact that they are not overtaking anything and the two nearside lanes are completely clear for miles. Infuriating.
Particularly prevelant on the M25 i have found, especially noticeable after a trip accross the channel where lane discipline is generally a lot better and the diabolical driving standards of a lot of UK drivers becomes obvious.
Wife has an accident, why is it hubby’s job to sort it out - are people still living in the sixties?

Designed for the building trade who go through them easily, take them out of the gun and wrap completely in cling film and they wont set.
I have been painting the house and usually would have gone through about £100 of brushes.
A small tube of cling film has kept this down to about five brushes.
And to answer the thread title, gravity.
The wife wraps brushes and rollers in cling film but the forgets about them.
We therefore end up throwing away brushes, rollers and cling film!

Does that also apply to the lanes that take traffic off motorways and dual carriage ways? You know the kind - about half a mile of roadway that splits the traffic before a junction.

Yes, you have to be aware that the driver in the outside lane may make a decision to move to the inside lane and may not see you. If you pass on the inside, depending on the severity of the accident, you could be reported.
All this is 'defensive driving' and anticipation.... thinking ahead.

Often the inner lane heading for the junction is going at a higher speed than the slow lane of the motorway, particularly if it's crawling along during rush hour. Technically, then strictly speaking it would be better to brake that traffic until it matches the speed of the slow lane rather than join in at the quicker speed.
