Why this road has a 60mph limit? You'd kill yourself even attempting this road at 60mph.

I often think that on some lanes. It’s mental, but guess also impossible so they just leave them be vs add more signage.

It’s just the national speed limit, anything different then they have to do all the paperwork and go through the legislation to get it changed.

It’s a limit rather than a target. Anyway, a cyclist with kids may slow you down a tad.

Wouldn't want to run into a tractor at 60 either. Won't win that competition.

Why has the cyclist got to have kids? Are the ones without less worthy of slowing down for lol?

Most of the roads where we live are like this in rural Norfolk. If anyone round here has a 4x4 as a daily driver it’s something like an old Jimmy or an old Vitara - most just drive hatchbacks. Hilarious in the summer when a brand new Range Rover meets an Audi Q7 and they both have to reverse lest their paintwork scrapes a hedge, whilst the locals barely need to slow down in their narrow VW Ups and fiestas etc!

It's like that around here. All country lanes with grass growing the middle have a 60mph limit.

Yet the dual carriageway into the city from the west is a 40, and the massive main road in from London is a 30.

Not a pedestrian in sight, on any of them, ever.

Why is the 0.34g salt orange but the 0.26g red. Weird.

My mum has some excellent quality fabric reusable carriers from Waitrose. Apparently they used to give them away for free and she's had them at least 10 years!

She mainly shops at M&S now!

It is the numbers above that trigger the colours as a proportion of overall weight.

Hoops weigh more, so the percentage of salt per 100g is less than 1.5g per 100g that triggers red. Whereas Wotsits are over the level as they weigh 16.5g vs 24g of the Hoops, so despite a lower weight of salt gram wise, they have a greater percentage of overall product weight.

The %RDA is there as direction as to what you should cut back on if you’ve consumed a red coloured item in quantity.

Know what you mean but I’d never get any work done!! No idea where the “stuff”’comes from; not sure I want to!

Seems an odd way of doing it. Better to eat a packet of Wotsits than HHs.

Indeed! Am guessing they needed a standard, as %RDA is different from child to man to female.

Although Wotsits will fill you up less...as I know as I am addicted to jumbo ones currently!

Very weird indeed, but thanks for clarifying. Good to know. So the numbers don’t correlate with the colours that shade them.

I guess it is a moot point given I consumed both haha!

Multipack crisps are just not large enough these days. But a single bag of crisps of proper size is around £1 which is a total rip off.

It drives me mad if my specs are grubby, can’t understand how others get about looking at the state of their glasses, it must be like living in fog all the time.

Another here. Usually spend an age cleaning my glasses daily more so on holiday. Hate the line you can get when the sun catches the lens.

My wife can wear sunglasses looking through the equivalent of Vaseline on the lenses. I have a grade of dirtier microfibres that I start to clean her glasses with on holiday before my pristine cloths get used.

    I have issues.

Why I can't flag items on my credit card as "awaiting refund".

Wouldn't it be great to flag transactions which should be refunded where the flag simply removes itself once the refund is issued or prompts you after X days/weeks if not refunded?

Why people think that motorway traffic should stop to let them out onto the carriage way because they can’t be bothered to look and match the road speed.

Or when you’ve matched perfectly, know the space you’re going to slip into & some utter throbber moves from lane 2 into lane 1 taking the space when there are people trying to join the carriage way.

Mine too, it gets the message across without being overly insulting in a work environment too.

Do they take it as a personal insult or something?
I don't think they even realise they are doing it, as they see, so unaware of everything else around them.

My approach is to either add more speed than they can quickly, or drop it down a few gears, lift off & let the pops & bangs wake them up.

Either way I like when they realise they went over their max speed & suddenly disappear into the distance.

I had one weirdo cone past me at what must have been over 90, then with me maintaining a steady 77mph ended up flying past him, before a couple of minutes later he was speeding past again.

Even my wife commented on his driving & as a passenger she never really paid much attention to the other cars on a motorway.

I cannot believe the number of numpties having meetings on the train. I’m in the end of a carriage, where there’s 4 tables and 3 of them have people on calls / presenting.

One person has 2 very loud women at the same table as him & it’s brilliant - they are so loud and I couldn’t be any further away from them he’s keeping far more calm than I would.

I remember being on a train following a nice weekend break with my wife. A man and woman were sitting nearby and the woman spoke quite loud and continuously, without any break. I would have moved but the train was fully packed. I wish I had noise cancelling headphones then to limit her drone.
