San Martin watches are among the best quality Chinese brands IMHO. You might be pleasantly surprised if you go for it.
Here's the one in my collection right now (BTW, loving the PT5000 movement. Extremely accurate so far, at +1.6 sec/day):
As I can't find a Helson Sharky anywhere and being desperate (!!??) for a PloProf Homage I came across the San Martin offering...
But on checking out their website I came across this FAQ:
FAQ:
1. What should I do if there is water in the watch?
If there is only a small amount of water vapor inside the watch, the water vapor will disappear automatically over time, or the watch will be properly heated (recommended ambient temperature is 60 degrees Celsius). After two hours, the water vapor will disappear automatically. If there are some water droplets in the watch, please do the repair as soon as possible.
So I left and crossed them off my Christmas list...

I've never had one but they're usually well reviewed - I doubt they're less water-resistant than similar offerings at the same price point, if that's the concern.
It's more likely just a way to avoid responsibility in case of an issue, as any brand at this price point would anyway.
I reckon it shouldn't be too much of a concern, although for sure their phrasing is not the most reassuring...
Incidentally, San Martin's founder just landed on WUS https://www.watchuseek.com/index.php?posts/53608296
I've just bought one and I absolutely love it. The quality seems excellent although I have not been diving to 600 metres in it.

Heretic! The unbeliever has dared to buy a watch with a greater indicated WR than he has dived to!
Everyone knows this is illegal in the watch collecting world.
It explains why one Rolex is called the James Cameron as only he is allowed to own one!
It probably won't work at 600M, but it'll be the least of your problems if you're wearing it!
