    Smiths Everest link required

    TZ brethren.
I’ve just acquired a first gen 40mm Everest from Mr T.T.C., thank you David.
However, even with spare links re-inserted, the bracelet is a proper wrestle to get over my hand.
Does anybody in our merry gang have a spare link in a watch box, that they would allow me to purchase ?
It is the 22mm lug bracelet that tapers to 18mm at the clasp.
I thank you in anticipation and wish you all an enjoyable weekend.

I’ve had a chat with Eddie who has neither links or a bracelet
But does say that the original was good for a 9” wrist.
This one is snug on my 7 1/2”
It has 11 full links two clasp links and two end links.
So I’m presuming it would have come with a couple more than I’ve got.

Final call in this thread, for any weekend crowd yet to see it.
Will duplicate in WTB where I can bump it without being tiresome.

I have just found 2 spare links John, but unfortunately no screws to secure them.

Having sold the watch to the last owner in the belief that it was a full set I’m a little concerned that the new owner finds it too small. I can’t recall how many links it had but I know it was way too big for me. I’m also certain I sent all the links I had, I offered to size it to fit Dave but he declined.

I guess it’s possible that the guy I bought it from (Original owner) didn’t include them all?

Silly question, but have you checked that extra links aren’t in the package somewhere?

Just to add the watch fits my wrist, albeit snuggly.
It’s getting it over my shovel paws that is the problem.

(Could do with a wet suit extension link)

If it fits your wrist, the problem (that I also have) is that the extension piece on the Smiths clasp is quite small and doesn’t offer much, eh, extension.

Silly point, but it worked for me: have you tried rotating the watch so that the head passes your palm, rather than the back of your hand, as it goes over? I don’t know why, but it does make it much easier.

I do do head over palm.
It will go but it’s a 15 second squeeze
pushing all around the bracelet and clasp.

Had exactly the same problem with my gen 1 Everest, couldn't find links for love nor money. Got round it by ordering one of these from ebay. Pretty it ain't but if you are prepared to compromise its an option.
