    That's, eh, brilliant. ?

Doors have many uses. Reminds me of Christmas one year. My cousin didn't think until too late he didn't have enough table space for guests, so he removed a door and laid it across some chairs. I had to admire the ingenuity. I prefer to just not have guests.

It's the kind of thing you'd suspect to be an April Fool. But it's not.

That reminds me when we had the wooden side door replaced on our garage; I could have chucked the old door in the skip, but instead made it into a cold frame for the allotment. Yes, doors are multi-purpose.

    Indeed they do.

Many years go I assisted in removing a door from the pie stall at a local football ground to use as an emergency stretcher when it was discovered that the actual (old-style, canvas) stretcher only had one pole...

Excellent dive into folklore, similar to the Shaolin rice paper walk :-)

I could see that a few of those grasshoppers were almost ready to leave the temple :-)

Excellent. I've just sent a link to an Irish friend of mine. I expect to receive some abuse in the morning. :D

Has anyone been to the Musée de la Porte in Pézenas?

We happened upon it a few years ago and popped in to get out of the heat. Surprisingly interesting, although the kids disagreed. Philistines!
