    Gardener advice

We want some colorful flowers in pots up our stairs outside. Problem is they literally get no sunlight. Am I restricted to alpines with small flowers? Any suggestions? Diameter pot approx 9-10”

    Azalea?
    Foxglove (but biennial)?

Neither of these will flower continuously through summer though which is what you probably want - a tall order TBH!

Edit - How about orchids, the type sold in supermarkets? Not a garden plant but could put a couple largish ones in a pot and bring them in over Winter.
