    Ordered. Let the cooking commence!

Here's a review from someone who has been using theirs for a year:

Picked one up in store just now. If it's really a better way of cooking.. Kamado Joe next!

Think that's for the full sized one not the mini. These do look good though but not much cooking room on the small one.

I thought I'd get it and have a look at the racks and return it if it's too small.

Am sure you will love them, my eggs have been great purchases and am sure much less pressure to use as often at this price!

Look forward to seeing the cooking efforts on the BGE thread. We will let you in...briefly lol

Did get it replaced in store and tried some pork belly on a low and slow cook, but the thing definitely needs a deflector. If anyone has any recommendations - please do share.

eBay and the Facebook budget Kamado groups are full of deflectors for these.

Ceramic or metal heat deflector allows you to cook indirect vs the heat of the charcoal and flame being directly under the meat. More like using it as an oven vs a grill.

    Dinner for one?

Wow, it's tiny! No good whatsoever for four people. I'm returning mine.

    I feel I should know this, but I don't.

What does PSA mean in the thread title?
So clever my foot fell off.

It is very small but at £80 it's ideal to check if outlaying a significant sum on a bigger model is worth it. I have done some tandoori chicken thighs and they were perfect, prepping some short ribs to try next. No doubt I will be looking out for a larger version soon.

Mines arrived and pretty good for the money. Certainly take less fuel than the larger eggs.

My deflector arrived today for £16 off eBay. Gonna try a roast chicken with it and see how it turns out.
