There you go, that's why homage watches were invented - to go shopping in
I would not let any chugger hug me, in fact I would not let any stranger hug me. TBH I am not to keen on the family doing it.
Haha - I thought exactly that. At least I’m not the only one

This happened recently in Southampton also

A drunken ex-colleague had his watch stolen on a night out by a reprobate in the street during an uninvited handshake. He started talking really quickly and kicking my friends shins to distract him whilst he unbuckled his watch. One of many reasons I don't let strangers touch me
I’ve seen Hollywood films of illusionists and distraction thefts,
But I’m pretty sure I’d know if someone was trying to slip a Rolex off my wrist.
It’s snug enough for me to do let alone someone do it without my noticing.

This happened to me when I was living in Prague, coming back from the pub two pretend 'ladies of the night' appeared - hands everywhere - to go for the wallet and the watch. Although a bit drunk I was aware of what they were up to and shouted at them really loudly (in Czech, although they weren't Czech) they seemed quite surprised / shocked and ran off. No wallet or watch lost that night..
