The SPOILER-FREE "is this weekend's F1 race worth watching?" thread.

I'm sure there are loads of us who, for various reasons, can't or don't watch the races live and catch the highlights on C4 in the evening after avoiding all F1 news like the plague.

Last week was a breaking point for me on that, watching the "highlights" of the Monaco GP felt like a day's work, it was awful.

So, without commentary on the race, just a simple yes or no, is this weekend's race worth watching?

Apparantly the forum software won't allow a one word answer, has to be a minimum of five letters.

Yes, the race is worth watching.

I stopped watching f1 because....... Hamilton. When things become more interesting I'll start watching again, but it's difficult to know how to ask "did Hamilton win again?" without spoilers for others!

It’s more interesting this season, for sure. Merc’s advantage is no longer there.

For those who have Sky, the highlights on Sky One are very good and the whole race gets crammed into a 1 hour show with 10+ mins of ads you can fast forward through. My new preferred way to watch it.

And yes, today’s race is worth watching for sure!

Went onto Sky Go to watch it on catch up having avoided the news all afternoon. As you scroll down to Sport, you pass “trending” and 1st 3 trending were screenshot tile with headline underneath for the 3 main incidents. So i knew exactly what happened in the race just not when. How f&£#ing stupid is that by Sky!

For myself and for others now I know the result gone to Sky Go to try and work out how to get to the race without seeing any of the trending or latest news tiles which giveaway what happened...

Sky Go home page quickly scroll all the way to the bottom with eyes closed or so fast it”s a blur
    then
    Select Catch Up
Scroll down to the Sky Sports logo, select that
and it should be under “latest on demand” which it currently is.

If you navigate to the F1 pages you can see all the pre and post race shows except the actual race for some weird reason.

Can anyone find another way on the Sky Go app?

Soo... French GP today, we should be long finished by now. Worth saving for later or should I just look it up?

Typical. I faded while watching the recorded highlights last night and went to bed so missed all the actual action. It's shaping up to be a interesting season.

So, how about today’s race? Worth watching the highlights or not, please?

    Not really.

Was this one not a double race with a sprint first and the race line up based on those results??

I’ve been looking forward to watching one of those new style race weekends.

    Nope.

I’ve got a feeling that Silverstone will be the first of those weekends.

I actually got to see this one live, it was a long hour and a half. Look up the result, catch the highlights if you feel you need to but you missed nothing.

I’ve been looking forward to watching one of those new style race weekends.

It is a double header in so far that this week the track hosts the Syrian GP and next week it will host the Austrian GP.

The first of the sprint races will be at Silverstone.

If anyone is still avoiding the action/result - then yes it's worth watching - I was there in the stand on the main straight opposite the podium

Me too - although in the general access area by the start / finish line. A very enjoyable race if a little hot!

Well that was a bloody cracker. I hadn't much hope for the rest of the race after the first few laps but there was high drama throughout, a veritable feast of "what ifs?", competing strategies and balls-out racing on the dullest track on the calendar.

100% worth watching the highlights without spoilers.

Once again F1 delivered excellent entertainment on a track “ difficult for cars to overtake”

By my calculations, even allowing for rain delays, this race should be done and dusted.

Worth watching? Who am I kidding, I know it'll be worth watching!
