In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

You got it! Just spent two lovely days there for my wife's birthday (and it was also a good decompress after my mum's funeral on Tuesday). We hadn't been there for probably 30 years and it was even nicer than we remember.
PS: taking the photo the other direction up the high Street would have been even more obvious with the yarn market in sight.
Yep the Yarn Market would have made it too easy. We go down there about once a year (a bit of a pilgrimage for me) so I know it very well.
Sorry to hear about your mum but agree it’s a great place to pause and reset a little bit, it always feels like going back in time for me.
Loving the Alpinist by the way, have been tempted myself.

Indeed it would have, I was hoping someone would recognise the scene I shot purely from personal knowledge and history as you have done.
Thank you. The two days were booked before Mam passed, but yes, even if I had known what was coming I couldn't have picked a better place to go. I could imagine disappearing from the world in that cosy corner very easily.
The Alpinist really is a great little thing, the exact right blend of field and dressy for me. Oh, and gaining 5 seconds total over the last week or ten days doesn't hurt either.
Thailand, but could be anywhere in Thailand.

This may not be difficult to identify, but I would be surprised if any TZ-UKers have been here.
Not been there, but I think the SS Badger is famous for plying Lake Michigan.
What about this?

Manitowoc is right. I drove across Wisconsin today and dropped my son off at the S.S. Badger so he could attend a cyber security camp in Michigan. He had to set his G10 to eastern time.

Laura is away on her first trip without the family, it's a pretty big step for her. She's sent an image for the thread completely unprompted, which is both pleasing and slightly concerning...

Specifically East Cowes Marina. Amazing organisation.

Gaaah! I looked at East Cowes but, although the pontoons lined up in an approximate East - West direction, I couldn't see any with the appropriate stretch of water between her position and the boats. I missed the one one pontoon outside the EMCT building.
I hope Laura is enjoying herself.

That one turned out to be much more difficult than I thought. Been looking at lift bridges across the UK for half an hour before I found it.

No hints! OK, just one: this North American city was immortalized in 1957 by the Chairman of the Board as “That Toddlin' Town.”

May be a little too difficult with that photo alone, so I'll broaden it, a bit...
