I gave up trying to ring (three days) my local council offices about something so decided to go to the offices in person.
As I entered the heat hit me from two large blow heaters above the doors, it would seem they are not having to cut back !! I will take the family with me next time and a couple of chairs:)

Or you could feign a serious illness and spend a day in the back of a lovely warm ambulance
Isn't that an Air Curtain - designed to prevent heat loss from the building from the door opening often? I've often seen them in shops in the US

Don't know, the entrance area was quite small and when I went from there into the main large reception area that still felt warmer than my house.Originally Posted by Ethos
I was only thinking recently how I haven't seen an air curtain in a long long time - perhaps efficient heating technology has moved on?
