    Ed White received his military flight training in my home town Bitburg, where he met and befriended Buzz Aldrin and encouraged him to also pursue an aeronautical career.

    Rest in Peace, Ed.

    Ed White was born about a 30 minute drive from where I sit typing this post. Were he still alive today he would be 90 years old. RIP
