Why I can’t have nice things...

Wife said, ‘I’ve thrown your AirPods in your drawer’.

Worst thing was, they were hers, not mine 🙄😬

*note, careful placement of Andrex loo roll to protect against clasp scuffs. Hardly worth the bloody bother...

    Hope that's double quilted stuff!

Nice drawer... but time for a watch roll / box I think!

Only two sheets, was that prepared during the great loo roll shortage of 2010 or something?

They were worth more than the watches at the start if the pandemic ;)

    The dog isn’t though!

To be fair, it’s rare they are both at home. And judging by my wife’s storage ideas, they won’t be again...

Yes, I had a white gold Daytona too but traded that for an 18 pack of Charmin and three bags of Penne.

If I leave a couple of watches out, Mrs L scoops them up with one hand through the bracelets!

You practically took the shirt off their backs. Heck of a deal!

    I know right?!

Some of the Charmin wasn’t even used yet.

Yikes, but then again I wouldn’t tell the wife what they cost either...

In a draw loose, oh dear me. I might do that with a sub £100 watch

The warmer, kinder, weather over the next week is a nice thing....and we can all enjoy it. Free. Although I quite like heavy rain (sorry).
Not everything good costs money....(I assume.). If you can, sit by the sea. Lovely, and calming.

OP, nowt wrong with a drawer, that’s where I keep mine. Albeit in our other property that my wife rarely visits.

I can’t see a plastic AirPod case scratching the gold - however they have magnets inside which might worry me a bit more (probably too weak tbh)

PCL’s I’m afraid to fart near it as it might cause turbulence to the air that will mark it.

My friend has a WG Daytona and is convinced his jumper gave it hairline scratches on the clasp. Said he couldn't believe how fragile it is.

It's a lovely shot showing off the warmth of that gold though! They look cracking.

That isn't too surprising - tiny bits of stuff (dirt etc.) in the fibres could well do that.

Isn't that the primary reason why optics people will wish to hang, draw and quarter you if you use an item of clothing to clean the lenses on their bins? Clothing traps crap and it can be scratchy crap.

My dedicated watch cloth is the inside of whichever t-shirt I'm wear that day. I'd be useless with a gold watch. Would love one though!

Just for a second, close your eyes and imagine the sensation of chewing on a wool jumper.

There is no doubt in my mind it would scratch polished metal #shudder

In 2014 I moved to the east coast, Mundesley on Sea nr Cromer. Then January 2018 we moved to Amble by the Sea North Northumberland
Yep it’s great to sit by the sea, no ear pods hitting my watches. Just the ozone assaulting my senses. Spot on it’s FREE well for now. IMG_3818.JPG
