    Laminate flooring

    Hi I re did the flooring in our kitchen about 4 years ago with some b&q laminate flooring awfull stuff to lay had tiny tongues and grooves but managed it now every time you walk over it it creaks and clicks is there anything I can do about it other than redoing it ?

    Mix some wood glue with water and try and feed it in.

    Thanks but I think the joints have some sort of seal to stop water getting in

    If it has nowhere to expand it sometimes will not lie perfectly flat and that may the source of the movement when walking on it.

    What did you put under it? I've got the whole ground floor done with laminate albeit with Quickstep and a good quality under-board, and it's as solid today as when we put it in thirteen years ago. It could also be the tiny tongue and groove you mention as it may not have sufficient 'lock' to remain solid.

    What underlay did you use and have you left 10mm gap all round

    If you used the rolls of underlay, that could be the issue vs a fibre board. Not used it in years though, so things may have changed.

    Good quality fibre board makes a hell of a difference.

    Left a gap and used the foam type underlay
