As mentioned earlier in the thread, I registered my interest in this watch in March, mentioning that I hoped it could be my wedding watch.

Well, I popped in the shop yesterday lunchtime to collect my fiancés wedding ring, after I checked it over the sales representative went away to package it up and when he came back he said “now your fiancé has something special to wear on the day, you need something too”.

To my surprise, on the tray was an Explorer!

I’m pleased to say I am now the owner of my original grail watch, the one that really got me started in this hobby and I get to start making many memories with it, including my wedding day.

Here it is…. I couldn’t be happier with it!

Nice one; enjoy your wedding; it is a magical day ... I still remember mine as it were yesterday.

And the two-tone version is just weird:

Really like the 2 tone one.

Owned one, prefer to see on other peoples wrist than mine, gets a bit too vanilla over time

I really appreciate all the kind words and blessings. Thank you very much.
I forgot to mention, they gave me a bottle of Rolex aftershave with it. Has anyone had this before? Wondering if it’s any good or should be saved for a cheepskate gift at Christmas!

    Rolex Explorer 36mm - Ref 124270

Congrats and enjoy your wedding day….both of you

All I got was a coffee when I picked up my Explorer in February,

As it says Rolex on the box keep it and wear it. Unless it smells like cat pee of course

I’ve got one, it wears small for me despite my tiny wrist. A 36mm DJ is fine for me though

Congratulations! I’m chuffed you managed to get it in time for your wedding bud!

Sadly I’ve been waiting since September 2021 for one of these but oh well, maybe I should tell them I have a wedding coming up ….

Congrats on the impending wedding and the pick up . Timeless classic imho.

The aftershave was really nice to my nose, they had it in the bathroom at an AD once.
