I would love to be at RSC when that is received for a service.

Possibly Definitely the worst mod I've ever seen to a Rolex!

Will I get banned from the forum if I say I quite like it???

Similar camo Exporers have been done before - there was one on here a few years ago in green rather than brown. Stupidly expensive of course.....best suited to Walter Mitty types.

It is profoundly silly of course. I can't see many squaddies buying a special camo Explorer for active service, though I seem to recall seeing on TV Prince Harry did wear a non-camo version when he was serving in Iraq (or Afghanistan or wherever).

That is awful! Maybe if it was actual multicam it might appeal to the Walts and or Airsofters.

That finish will soon come off and will look more like someone vomittted on it

    Can’t see it.

Can’t see the problem with it, if somebody wants it why not.

Thousands of those in circulation so not really a rare watch - I wouldn’t buy it but each to their own. If Rolex made it themselves we’d be saying how ‘brave and subversive’ the brand had become and no doubt it would be in huge demand!

They missed doing the dial. Looks out of place with a standard one.

Sorry, all I could see was a floating Explorer II dial... where did the rest of it go?!

They messed the watch up by not doing something radical with the dial as well.

"Hydrographics, otherwise known as Hydro dipping, is paint based printing process. Once your item is painted and hydro dipped, they are protected with an automotive grade clear coat, whilst this is a permanent change, if you ever did change your mind, you could simply paint over it."

    I assume that's how it's done.

I actually really like it cosmetically, ignoring the value of the watch. If Pagani or Steeldive did one I'd have one.

Just needs the new Rolex 2021 Bamboo dial or whatever it’s called and it will look ace to the Rambo clan.

It seems that there are actually limits to be carefully judged whether you are considering bad taste as well as good! They obviously decided that doing the dial would make it OTT - the case & bracelet being in perfect taste of course!
As I've said, I quite like this creation - in a guilty pleasures kind of way, and personally, I think they were right to leave the dial alone.
