    Roof cleaning equipment

    Hi folks

I want to sparkle up my house by getting the roof cleared of lichen and moss. I have access to plenty of sodium hypochlorite for this and will also have scaffolding up so access to the base of the roof will be possible.

My question is, how can I get hold of, say, long poles (maybe the type window cleaners have) to reach and spray the parts higher up?

Does anyone have any clever suggestions?

    Thanks
    Richard

Roof ladder hooks that attach to a ladder that hooks over the ridge

If you're looking for long-term prevention there are firms that supply copper strips to fix to the ridge which is said to prevent moss regrowth.

To spray bleach there are lots of window washing poles with integral hoses on Amazon (just an example).

This was me prior to having our PV panels installed. Safe as houses!

Don't ever jetwash your roof; it can lead to all sorts of issues if you blast the outer layer off the tiles & you can ruin the felt as well.

I did mine 10years ago, resealed the cement tiles once fully dry and have had no issues since doing so. I guess I must be lucky!
