    The Titanium Watches Thread

Surprised we haven't had a thread for titanium watches before.

I've had at least one Ti watch for quite a few years now, with them making up nearly half of my collection at various points.

Here's my current three, all with quite different surface treatments, from micro-blasted to highly polished. Two more recent additions, and one that's been in the collection the longest.

    Let's see what you've got.

    That's a good trio, OP!

Here's my only titanium watch at the moment, but I've had a few over the years!

The Ti G is one of my absolute favourites - no loss if it doesn't sell in my book ;)

Just this one atm, PAM 614. I like the "dullness" of the titanium, and it renders the 47mm sub much lighter than would be the case (subtle pun there) with SS.
Previously owned a 346, which had a brushed ti case and a polished ti bezel. Gorgeous watch which is still with a long standing TZer AFAIK.

I've only owned 1 titanium watch for a brief period last year. Cool watch but it wasn't quite for me. I can definitely see another titanium in my future though.

Cheers, saves me posting it! I'm down to a hard-core of 4 watches (ok, so maybe with a dozen outliers) and the 346 is still standing tall!

Edit: would be rude not to

Hands down one of my favourite watches to wear. Great big chunky thing but the ti renders it lighter than a sub (or so it feels)

Love a bit of titanium, and if the Z33 was made of steel wouldn’t be able to lift my arm.

Some lovely watches so far. Here are my two. I would love all Panerai to be titanium, it's more subtle than steel and they end up with a reasonable weight.

I think it's fair to say that these are my 'keepers' 670 Equation of Time and 389 Sub.

I had one of those Blue Angels Citizens in Titanium - Great watch, but I couldn't read the digital displays without my reading glasses on!

    And an Orca

The only Titanium watch I currently have is this one :

However, I have another coming in the next month or so.

This is a great thread because I've learned that several watches that I'm very familiar with are actually Ti and I never knew that.

I can take part. I have a International Watch company (IWC) Porsche Design Ocean 200, which is Titanium. It was purchased by the original owner in the late 1980s in Hong Kong and was found 25 years later in a safe. I bought it for £700 about 10 years ago and was shocked to see that these are changing hands for £8k! I have been scared to wear it as a daily to be honest.
It is a really nice watch and actually a ladies watch but suits my puny wrists really nicely.

My Oceanus. It's the only Titanium watch I have. To be honest I'm not sure I like the lightness. It's a great watch but if I was spending a lot of money, I think I would prefer steel.

There are plenty of informative articles available on the internet which provide some history and detail on these watches, the IWC Ocean 2000. Some of those articles also refer to the Ocean 500 which was the smaller version marketed as a ladies dive watch.
If I thought I could get £8k for my civilian 2000 I would be very happy
