I'm sure there are other Crabs on here but user Lampoc is the first name that springs to mind, maybe drop him a PM pointing him to the thread.
Wondering if anyone can give any insight into this old RAF jacket my girlfriend came across recently. Its beautifully made, looks like bespoke made by Burtons but I have no idea how old it is. I'm curious to know what era this is from and any other info about it if anyone can help?

Queen's crown on the buttons, so post 1953. Ribbon is general service medal, I think post 1962.
Just an old No.1 jacket. Not sure on period as the design has changed little over the years. You can always find them in Surplus shops. It would have been made to measure for the Officer it originally went to.
As pointed out that is No1 Dress Uniform, Officers and WO.
At Cranwell the tailors used to come up take your measurements and it would be ready for your graduation parade.
Just a Flight Lieutenants number 1 jacket made sometime after 1953 with a ribbon sewed on sometime after 1962. Not sure why the LH top pocket cover looks wonky though?
Thank you everyone, I was struck by how nicely it was made which is what piqued my interest. Not sure about the pocket, might just be the photograph.
Not an expert, but if it helps, the Woolmark logo was introduced in 1964. Label also uses old postal district rather than modern postcode (though that may not mean much). Balance is in pounds and pence rather than old money, so after 1971.
