Income protection insurance with high BMI and a Smoker

Hi guys,
Yes I know I should be more healthy but last years divorce and Covid Kilos have left me severely overweight and back on the fags sadly.
I’m in the process of buying a house now I’m single and am struggling to get cover. Does anyone have the same experience and if so can you recommend any companies to call?
I’ve got an IFA looking at whole of market but any pointers (aside from lose weight and stop smoking) would be much appreciated please.

When I tried to buy a policy last year, no-one was selling one! Hopefully the situation is different now.

My guess would be Covid has changed the market considerably ...

If you have an IFA looking at the market then there isn’t much more you can do. There are a limited number of providers although I can’t see Covid making much difference.
