Missed out on this one _ MING

Put a fairly decent bid on this at the weekend, seems I was outdone.
Some of the prices achieved on this auction are beyond comprehension.

A very nice one was sold on SC not long ago for much less than that... yeah that was ridiculous

Every single watch sold in that auction can be purchased significantly cheaper elsewhere. It really doesn’t make sense

    How much?!

The prices for literally every watch in this auction are ridiculous.

    Very, very fishy.

My only thought on it would be it might be hammer price plus buyers premium (which would include the outrageous auction house fees, possibly 25%).

Even if it does, sensible bidders take the fees into account.
On lower value items I don't think 25% is outrageous but as the value goes up it starts to look a bit crazy.

Exactly that, with fairly decent estimates, but the hammer prices on some of them were totally ridiculous!

CHF13k? What a joke. If that was the actual sold price the person who bought it is a pure example of more money than brains.
