other that a wealthy middle eastern gent will buy it, why?
I dont mind Hublot. Theyre modern and gaudy but having handled a bunch, theyre also well made, so its all a matter of taste.
That said, their new invisible Big Bang release is troubling.
A whole watch made from sapphire inc bracelet, very cool, feat of engineering etc.. but imagine the hairy wrist on display underneath it.
Bleh!

Lets face it if you're wealthy enough to buy this a hairy wrist is a sign of your virility :)
I’ve seen this one in person, honestly looks like a plastic G shock. I’m not actually a Hublot hater, I quite like some of their Unico chronographs and they are high quality, at grey prices they represent good value vs other Gerald genta sport watches, plus they are different and modern.
The wrist hair thing is an issue on some other transparent dial/heavily skeletonised ones too, but perhaps this one comes with an integrated Veet dispenser in the caseback.
Extremely impressive sapphire machining with that one.
Yes, must be a nightmare to machine.
I imagine that the sort of footballer that buys it probably books in for a weekly full body wax so that no hairs snag on the LV t-shirt he wears to go training in his matt black G wagon.
Other than that, it’s in-house, innovative and should probably be applauded. Too many makers are happy to sit on their backsides and watch the cash roll in for their tired designs, it’s always nice to see something different, even if it isn’t to my taste.
Just don't drop it / knock it on a door frame etc
I really don’t understand the pricing. I get it’s at least a 100k watch, but why 350. Why not, 150,250. It seems very arbitrary.
I know Jacob and Co do a ceramic case and I think he said 2/3 broke in production.
I can't say anything other than it's very impressive. I actually think it'll look pretty amazing IRL.
It certainly is unique and has a very cool look.

What’s wrong with hairy wrists?
It saves from me buying jumpers...
It’s nice to see something different, The research and effort that has gone in to making it should be applauded. The bevels on the bracelet links will catch the light well, I would think it looks rather dazzling in real life

Whilst I appreciate it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, I do think the engineering that has gone in to creating this is impressive.
Is it a £350k watch - I guess if they all sell then it is.
I think it'll end up on the grey market at around 245k
That puts it into the same stratosphere as the Jacob astronomia.
