Either of those should both cover longer stays (Staysures single trip covers up to three months) and pre-existing medical conditions.
Hi all - wondering whether anyone has any recommendations for non-standard travel insurance that might work for my mum.
She's 72 and has a second home in the Caribbean, where she spends several months of the year, typically staying three months or more on each visit.
She currently has an annual travel policy with AXA via her bank, but this only covers trips of 45 days maximum duration, and extensions cost an arm and a leg.
Additionally, she's declared some medical conditions, namely atrial fibrillation (which has been treated with laser ablation and is no longer symptomatic), raised blood pressure (drug controlled), and raised cholesterol (statin controlled), which AXA have excluded from the cover.
Does anyone know of a specialist broker or insurer that would write this kind of risk or offer some kind of gap cover to go alongside the AXA policy?
TIA as ever.

Allclear have been good covering my wife who has a few health issues that most companies wouldn't even touch.
The customer service has been good as well.

Thanks for the responses. Will be looking into them.
I think the biggest issue is that the cover's needed for extended stays in the Caribbean. It seems that the mainstream players deliberately price themselves out of this business, but I can't help thinking there must be a specialist market out there somewhere.
