Never worn one but would 100% rock it. TT can be an acquired taste but it works on this for sure. I regularly wear dress watches with casual attire. If I kept it for the occasions I need to dress up they'd be gathering dust a fair while these days
Dear all,
I am 'flirting' with a Cartier Santos Galbee XL, 2823, 32mm (two tone)
is a peculiar watch I would say that I feel it can be worn either on casual occasions or with suits. What is your views on such a watch on a man's wrist? There are stereotypes out there that Cartier is mainly a female thing etc. etc., may be rubbish but what is your opinion?
And what is your opinion on the watch itself, has any of you ever owned one? any feedback?
thank you in advance for the time and effort.
Best regards,
Evangelos

I like them, and they look great on a lightish brown leather strap.
Wonderful watch, but what attracts me to it is that it's both a dress watch and a more sporty one; yet I wouldn't trust it for a swim, unfortunately.

Wonderful, one of the few watches that can be sporty & dressy at the same time, and with solid historical credentials.
I need one of these, albeit all SS.
Untouched beach, or Monte Carlo, perfect.

Had one, steel and gold but with the solid burgundy dial so probably a late 80's one, had problems with the bracelet which kept breaking which I believe is a design issue with how the links attach.
Wore lovely and did feel special and got a Cartier service done which was quick and quite reasonable. One of the few watches I made money on when I traded it.
I'd say go for it if the money is right.
