Daly is the oddest selection there. He would not be in my England side.
Shocked that Hill is going as well, I am in 2 minds about him, plays well for club not so much for country.
    Glad to Simmons going
The shock omission has to be Sexton!

Aki is a weird one. I'd guess he took North's centre spot at short notice. Is Ringrose injured?

Hard on Navidi too but back row is a tough spot with so many outstanding players there.

Oh and Daly is just a daft choice apart from being able to kick from his own half.

Earls or Zebo would have been better

That was my first thoughts when reading through the list. Still, great to see Simmonds getting a chance.

I am surprised Lawes is going as he has been injured and not played a great deal but I can understand why he is there.
When you play a South African side you need an enforcer, someone to do the rough stuff and lawes is very good at it.

I'm very happy to see young Zammit in the squad. An outstanding player in the 6 nations, and destined to become a Welsh legend.

Honestly? The most unbiased and well balanced Lions squad I’ve seen. I pity their opponents.

The England Rugby announcement of England players on their Insta was hilarious, as they had headshots pof all concerened in England kit, and the only picture of Simmonds they had was wearing a shirt 3 seasons old with no red collar.
Lawes is an interesting choice, only just back from injury.
    Daly? Why?
No May. Interesting. Same with Slade.
But the closeness of this year's 6 nations (well, 5 plus Italy) has meant an unusually balanced make-up of the squad, and rightly so.
It could be an epic side

An impossible job, selecting this time around. Overall the quality of players and teams seems to have rise (I'll ignore England's team performance this year), and the gap between the best and least best of those has narrowed.

One player I would like to see more of, either as an England player or with the Lions, is Alex Dombrandt. Very good ball handling skills, spacial awareness and a proper swift-footed battering ram who is always up for it.

Max Mallins. Hasn't shone in an England shirt yet, to which he is relatively new, but watch him play in the Prem and he knocks spots of Daly.

Anybody have Boris' mobile number? I want to send him a text to see how many cushions we'd need to buy for his flat to get passports for Luatua, the Piutau brothers and the mercurial Semi Radradra.

Luatua lives about 100m from me. Epic player, but not a lion
