You have my condolences!
It’s actually a good looking watch. Much better than most they release. That said I have a soft spot for the nose art versions, if I could find one at a decent price I would buy one.
I had rather a lot to drink last night with Man City winning, and apparently ended up buying a Graham Chronofighter vintage watch, judging by my emails this morning. At least it was 50% off at 2.5k.

Surely you can just return it when it arrives if you so wish.
It's a very distinctive piece.
They are well made and good quality
You have me thinking now.
I had never previously considered buying a wtch with a steam pressure escape valve as an extra complication.

It’s the only watch out there that serves you a nice espresso when you wind it. Joking aside they are very well made watches and variety is the spice of life.
At least its a Lefty, so you will be able to actually wear it!! :0)
Don't think I've seen a full on leftie like that with the date before. As a right-handed person it seems even stranger...a reflection on how my brain works, not the watch!
If they scaled-down and "de-clumsified" the crown assembly (without impinging on Panerai's patents), that would actually be a really good-looking watch.
Send it back and get a proper one.
You don't actually need to know what the time is.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
Well if that dosen't cause you to stop drinking nothing will.
Inspired by WWII fighter pilot watches to time bomb drops https://www.ethoswatches.com/the-wat...intage-review/
The real one is shown a few posts above.

not only damaging to your body and wallet but also your street cred!
I'm really surprised to find I like that. The left hand trigger would seem to make a lot of ergonomic sense for me triggering the chrono with my right thumb. Luckily for my wallet, I don't need another chrono as I can't remember the last time I used the function on an analogue watch.
At least at 47mm if someone tries to mug you, you can always batter them with your watch.
Man City were very impressive.
Your choice of watch is interesting-looks a bit like my bicycle tyre pump which frustratingly does not tell the time.
The problem is finding a use for one - I could easily work some pretty flimsy rationalisation if I could use it to time an egg, for example.
We've had a thread before:

In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
God bless distance selling. Straight back in the post without even opening it
All I can say is that you had better start saving up for the final, God only knows what you will sign up to if they win.
You could always ask wifey to switch the internet off for the night and give her your phone as a precautionary measure.
Could have been worse, could have been a Panerai or a Hublot
Not the worst thing you could possibly buy!
I'm gonna be very disappointed if you can't light a cigar with that crown guard
A cautionary tale indeed, you should be able to return for a full refund so don’t worry. Don’t hang around though as you wouldn’t want to miss the returns window and be stuck with it!
So it arrived. Quite like it actually. The 44mm size is spot on, and the crown guard is nowhere near as intrusive as I expected. It also helps that the whole assembly is on the left of the case so it doesn't dig into your hand. I've had it on for a few minutes and it's extremely comfortable. I shall be keeping this, apologies to the taste police. Already got it at a substantial discount so not going to take a hosing if I move it on down the line.
Good for you.
Opportunities for gratuitous insults aside, it is after all your taste that dictates what you like, not anyone else's.
I couldn't live with that crown guard arrangement, but have to admit that it is a lovely-looking watch in all other aspects.
Looks well on your wrist, just not to my taste. Very steampunk-esque, like you'd expect it to run on coal.
That day & date appears to be a bit wonky. Is the watch 12 hours out of sync (ie at 2330 instead of 1130)?

Jim.
Looks alright - I could never wear it, wearing on my right wrist though. Congrats and enjoy!
i like that a lot,i think its great, love the crown assembly.i only once bought on ebay when sloshed.in the morning i found i had bought two cheap and nasty panerai homages and a lovely vintage Leonodas chronograph which is still own..
