    Pics of watches worn well

Thought it would be an idea to have a pictures thread for watches being worn well, provide a bit of interest and inspiration.

    Anything goes, but I’d suggest:
    - it will be interesting to see the watch in context, so wrist shots don’t really work
    - doesn’t need to be what’s nowadays called a “public figure”.

    Let’s see ’em.

A nice trio here I think. Although nobody does it better than Don Draper!

Here's another photo from the same time, here you can see Delon's watch. I think Tabarly is wearing a Lip Nautic Ski.

Quite apart from being a fine film and exactly the image this thread is after, I'm still delighted that whoever did the watches for the Man From Uncle reboot went to the trouble of working out precisely what watch the son of a high ranking Russian in the fifties would inherit from his father. In a genre filled with tired old product placement, Ilya's 50's 34mm blued, screwback centre seconds Pobeda, the twin to the first wristwatch in space (in gold) was a breath of fresh air, especially as it played a slightly central role in the film which could have so easily been a jarring modern watch.

Lordy, David Niven likes his watches! I'm guessing that's a Longines above, but he's got more watches than I have!

And one more but nobody seems to be sure what the watch is.

Was hoping you'd drop by, C-B.

    I was squinting at the brochure she's holding. Looks like there's a 917 and a GT40.

Virtually everything in the whole photo is iconic.
