    Good cause charity request.

    Hello all.

Very dear friends have a granddaughter who was sadly born with an extraordinarily rare condition only affecting around six people worldwide.

Aurelia has just turned three, she was born blind and remains with zero vision, it soon became apparent she had other health issues, she cannot feed herself and needs to be fed intravenously, she cannot talk/communicate and cannot walk or crawl; despite all of this she is a very happy little girl. Her parents are doing all they can with her and for her, but their lives are very busy with caring for Aurelia and the care and equipment she needs is extremely extensive, as she grows up she will need specialist housing adaptations and hoists etc.

She is featured in todays Daily Star; i am sure it’s not many of our usual papers, but if you can please buy a copy.

If you can, any donations would be so appreciated by them all, please find the link below:-

    https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/...edc473e3c7866e

Below are some photos from today’s paper.

    Many thanks in advance all.

    Kind regards.

    Darren

Thanks again all, just a little update, thanks to you all; plus the Daily Star articles and other fundraising, things are starting to happen for Aurelia and her family. A little update from today. If you wish to donate still please do.

    Thanks David.
Aurelia is doing well and is benefiting greatly from the fundraising with her ongoing care and physio. She will never lead a normal life, but she is such a happy child and enjoys the interaction her condition necessitates. Our friends have recently moved a short distance from us now; they were neighbours, but now live closer to Aurelia’s parents to help support them, plus they are in the countryside with a large garden and dog which Aurelia loves. I have screen grabbed a few images from our friends FB page and also Aurelia’s own page.
Thank you again and thank you everyone for the kindness, generosity and support.
    Kind regards.
    Darren

The writing is not Aurelia’s but the paw-Prints are her own work.

Thanks very much Darren, it's excellent to hear that she's doing so well and is happy with all that goes on around her. You can see she's such a special little girl from the photos.

Hopefully a few more generous members here will pop some spare cash into her fundraiser. I will be shortly. :)

    Cheers

    Thank you David.

Yes, she is a wonderful little girl indeed.

I; and most importantly, Aurelia very much appreciate your love, caring and generosity.

    All the very best.

    Hi all.

Just a very quick update and photo of Aurelia enjoying Christmas with nanny reading her a book. Sadly there will never be a cure or significant improvements, but as always she is smiling.

You can also follow her on Instagram if you wish:- https://instagram.com/aureliasadvent...dium=copy_link

    Thanks again all.

    Hi Darren,

It's so good to see Aurelia, smiling and enjoying the Gruffalo, and what an excellent Christmas outfit!

I hope she and all her family have a great 2022!

    Hi all.

I am bumping this from the depths as a little update.

Aurelia started School today. Her first day, she had a whale of a time and kept her parents up all night yesterday such was her excitement. What an awesome little girl. She really is progressing; yes she will never have independence and the fullest of lives as most of us do, but she is always happy and smiling with what she has. What an inspiration.

The fundraising is going well, but they are still a long way from their target. Anything you can give will be massively appreciated.

    Thanks again and kindest regards.

That's brilliant news Darren, and with what's going on all around us, we can all do with a lift. It's so good to see that Aurelia is cheerful and still smiling that happy, happy smile!

    All the best,
