Sorry, didn’t see that you’ve already ruled out an ALS.
I am seeking inspiration for my next watch toward the end of this year.
Currently in the box is
- Vacheron overseas gen 2 in white
- Patek aquanaut
- ALS 1815 updown in white gold
- Stowa Antea creme
- Dornbluth on route early next year delivery date.
I have added a bit of “heft” and sports to the collection recently in the Vacheron and the DDS so leaning towards the more dressy sense. Current runners are rose gold ALS of some sort, white gold JLC ultra thin moon.
Guidance criteria as below
- Less than 20k to spend
- Interested in Rose gold
- Must be sub 10mm thick
- Preference for 3 handers, or if complicated that it’s a relatively clean face.
- Would like maybe a discreet rose gold watch
- Not a Rolex
- Not an ALS or Breguet as I have looked at a million options there already so seeking something different to what I had already looked at, thought of it maybe not even heard of.
- I do like German styling these days a lot.
Any idea that perhaps I have not looked at?
Sorry, didn’t see that you’ve already ruled out an ALS.
Seems like a Patek Calatrava 5196 might fit that bill.

Damn... think I'd just sit back and enjoy what I had in your shoes!
Something by Lang & Heyne from Dresden, although you might struggle at £20k

Time and Tide did an article on 5 lesser known German brands in October 2020 (haven't included link in case that's not allowed).
Kudoke seem well regarded.
Any particular reason not Breguet or is there nothing they produce that floats your boat?
Edit , sorry didn’t read post properly

Discrete Rose gold three hander, under £20k?
Moser Endeavour.
Rose gold JLC ultra thin of some sort. Maybe a small seconds. Keep the change.

“ Ford... you're turning into a penguin. Stop it.” HHGTTG
Yes, that would be on my list

Nomos Glashütte Metro Rose Gold Neomatik 39
Just need one more...
It’s on the list but a little too boring for me. 5296r is on the list also with the printed nature of the sector dial adding a lot of character.
Def not ruled it out. It’s the front runner. It’s just I have scoured the brand I know which models I would choose. Likely settle the current rose gold version of the up down which would match my current white gold.
Had not seen them. Will take a look. Thanks.
Kudoke had popped up on my radar. As has the Austrian “Habring”. Jumping seconds model in particular.
Not quite for me. Though I had looked at the brand which has been getting a YouTube push here and there.
I think something a bit on the earthy, tough side. A Tudor Black Bay Bronze. If you can, aim to find a Bucherer, but they are pretty rare these days. Still, great value especially while they are still arguably undervalued.

Moritz Grossmann are worth a look - their boutique prices are double what dealers are actually selling at, so should be do-able across the more restrained parts of their ranges:
This is nice -
Chronoswiss are always worth a look, too - like the various Sirius models, esp. the Manufacture models:
Leave a lot of change from £20K too.
Santos De Cartier for a dual sports/bracelet and dress/leather strap watch, with the nice easy quick change.
Left option rather than rose gold but I assume, based on most Tudor this would be too thick for my tastes.
Stunning. Saw that brand before and it’s ok the 5 German brands article that is mentioned by another poster
That is rather lovely also and not a brand that would have popped on my radar! Will have a busy week sorting through some of these options.
Could well still end up with a safe option. But the search is the fun.
Moser Endeavour, said with a hint of bias.

For a little more than budget you could go for a really high quality Haute piece in an Urban Jurgensen, 1140 ideally, would match your Lange nicely.

I just got the new Patek Calatrava in rose gold. It’s a tiny bit over budget but a 5196 might work as well. First gold watch and enjoying it.
Moser look fantastic so do the Vacheron FiftySix three hand models. I like all the VCs though. JLC Ultra Thin is a real looker, tried one again the other week - good value in gold.

Given your collection, I would seriously consider the Breitling Ice-Blue
This fits in a a few of your rules but breaks most of them.

I only put it in here because if I had any amount to spend on a watch this (or a variant) would still be in the top 5.
I think you've already given the correct answer with the JLC ultra thin.
Since you like German watches though have you thought about something from the GO vintage collection? This one fits all your criteria:
I would check out the Blancpain Villeret line.
The big date, jour date, ultraplate would all be stunners.

This is the site - Nothing live or upcoming for UJ at the moment. One must have not met the reserve yesterday as it was live when I looked.
They've had 5 or 6 up for sale from the same dealer so you could always try contacting them if you can work out who they are.
