    Second Hand for 50 Grand

Anyone going to partake? I wouldn't normally but I'm intrigued by the £500,000 vintage watch collection.

Would have liked a closer look at the Pepsi and Submariner that the chap took in px against the Paul Newman.

They valued the pair at £65K, which seemed high?

Valued at 65 in trade they could give less cash against the Daytona.

Didn't seem like a great deal to me, but they didn't show the two watches too closely, so who knows!

Also watching it - £200k for that Rolex sub? Definitely keeping my Tudor 79220N to at least 2065 now!😲😃

I’m obviously finding the watch stuff really interesting.

However I’m also thinking how can someone get anything done with nails like that. I must be getting old.

I thinking about moving on from watches to handbags; had better not tell the wife though! 😅

Stuck watching it to see the outcome for the Sub. Other than that I’m finding this so difficult to watch, some of the people are just so ghastly. I couldn’t even get excited when the woman got her dream handbag just in time for her twentieth 33rd birthday!

Yeah, snap. So the sub price ended up at £140k with no real explanation.

    Paging Haywood... were you watching?

It’s showing as on hold on the Xupes site at £200k so it looks like they bought it themselves and stand to make £60k.

Looked like a nice 5513 and 16570 but nothing more than that. My first thought was 25k for the pair and if they were on their website for that then they'd offer them at 20K or less to make the cash offer more palatable.

Do you really think they were worth more than 65k or is this some Jedi sales tactic the top dealers use where they screw you on both sides of the deal? (Assuming 165k was the genuine offer and they hadn't bumped it up from 120k for the cameras then f**ked up the editing - entirely possible as they put a bold text across the screen with 'Rolex Submariner' when it was clearly the PN Daytona they were talking about).

It was more just a general statement that the more they gave in trade the less they would have to give back in cash.
Loved the Essex guy and his Cartiers.
Well it's done its job and off to the Xupes website now.

I think it’s made me less likely to use Xupes! Just felt a bit weird to me that the chap with the Paul Newman got a bad deal (at least it looked like he did to me). I know he seemed happy, but it felt like he got short changed for his watch.

I've recorded this....is it as entirely fake as the programmes like 'Posh Pawn' and that ilk?? I suppose I ought to be able to guess the answer!

Does anyone really give a conker about who buys something at what price.

If they want it enough, they will buy it and good luck to them, it is their hard earned after all. If it's overpriced they will walk away.

    No big deal is it.

The Cartier he was looking at seemed in poor condition from the glimpse I saw, loads of hairline scratches.

It’s not aimed at the informed and savvy folk of the TZ forum clearly. What it is is TV entertainment for a large generally uninformed, but curious, audience. I’ve actually dealt with Joe since he started Xupes; bought and sold watches and jewellery. Always found him to be good to deal with, he is very enthusiastic about watches and has obviously lived out his dream with great success. Good luck to him I say.

I reckon that ‘window cleaner’ bloke from Hertfordshire buying the Cartier was a Channel 4 stooge.

    I watched and enjoyed.

Aside from the watches, it was useful for tips as I’ve often wondered what I’d look like without eyebrows, face painted a shade of liver failure yellow and Injections to pump up my lips.

I have now eliminated this look from my things to do list for 2021.

Have you ever owned one.... absolutely impossible to wear, no matter how carefully, without leaving scratches.

I think sunlight is enough to scratch them.

I totally agree -she is fit as fu*k.....
Considering her life revolves around handbags though
not sure she’d be very interesting long term!

It is faker than fake and the people, sorry the "things" that are featured selling and buying the handbags are as phoney and confused as anything I've ever encountered on TV (including Rylan Clark)
