    Alternative platforms instead of EBay?

Can anyone recommend selling platforms away from eBay that are safe and secure? We should have a lot of household content (small and large) to ditch soon. Many thanks for any answers.

For the cheaper stuff, Gumtree and Facebook marketplace come to mind. I've sold on both before with no issues...just be prepared for hagglers. In my experience, there are a lot of people on gumtree who buy to then re-sell. I had one chap come to buy a TV then ask what else I might be selling. Another chap bought my washing machine and was back a week later for my fridge/freezer.

Etsy, Gumtree, Facebook local area Groups. Think you’d end up being derided if you tried on here.

Facebook marketplace has become very popular, especially for household items. Anything I post there sells in a flash.

If you use the Nextdoor app, you can sell locally on that.

FB marketplace can be amazingly brilliant.

It’s also totally free to use.

I’ve advertised things like. Sthil Strimmer that was collected and paid for at full asking 20 minutes after listing.

It can also be frustrating when people say they’ll come to collect and don’t turn up, or say they’ll take something and then go quiet. But on the whole, if you price things cheap, they fly.

Do send me a DM when you know what household stuff you are selling.
We are moving from a 2 bed flat to a 5 bed house in the next month or so and need to fill it!
I've already bought a table and chairs from a TZ-er so am serious!
