Made it this time. I completed at 14.00:29 after wasting 4 seconds thinking my credit card number had pasted making it a potential PB of 25 seconds.

    How many PRS-60?

    Anyone knows?

    Hi All.

There were 150 in stock today, half of the run, so there will be the same available again on the 16th.

So easy movement change and dial change for the date window and good to go?

    Technically possible? Maybe.
    Aesthetically possible? Maybe less so.

I know some people are disappointed but it seems stocking as many as we could with the 1 item limit means most folk are happy.

Thank you to everyone that purchased and also tried, there’s always a wave of anxiety when launching a new model.

There will always be some disappointment, but overall, the release seemed to go well. It helped that things haven't been selling in under a minute the last few weeks, with the exception of the jubilee bracelet.

Here's hoping everyone who missed their chance of snagging one today will be even more ready to succeed in two weeks and that few people/no one double dips so that others have their chance.

Thanks for your efforts to keep as many people happy and satisfied :)

If you are going to put a date in it then you might want to consider a magnifying lens.

The 6202 which this is based on never had a date.

1 watch per buyer was IMO very helpful and considerate.

I thought that reviews were meant to be 'printed' a few days before launch... 😋

I consider one watch per person to be a sensible approach.

I am looking forward to seeing some real world wrist pictures. It seems to be quite a photogenic watch.

Checked the detail and the header was 14:00:47 - I am not used to measuring emails in seconds as opposed the minutes!

What a beauty! Extremely pleased with how this turned out. The dial is amazing and has convinced me that I need a gilt Everest when they’re restocked next year :-D

I included some pics of the thickness for those that may be concerned (wrist is 7.5”). It’s a complete non-issue - wears like a dream!

Indeed, it is. It mostly works, with a few small gaps and uneven lines here and there. I'm pretty happy with how it looks with the Timefactors jubilee bracelet. I'm thinking this watch might look good with a two tone bracelet.

    A few observations:
The bezel is quite loud (clicky), which I really enjoy. It has absolutely no backplay.

The medallion on the back is gorgeous, but a little rough to the touch in the negative space. However, I don't feel that "roughness" while wearing the watch; the watch feels comfortable on the wrist.

The crown feels great. I could easily grab hold of it with my large fingers. Popping it out to the first position (hacking) has a substantial click and feels just right.

The additional thickness is subdued overall once the watch is on the wrist. Even on my girlfriend's dainty, 6-inch wrist, the watch doesn't look thick. It gives off a slightly chunky, yet reserved look once it's on the wrist.

The dial is gorgeous. I don't know if this is the same satin black as the gilt dial Everest, but it has a slight, sunburst effect that plays really well with the light.

This is a quality product. It feels like it should cost way more.

I agree about the positive click bezel being a good thing.

Thanks for your detailed feedback. I’ve received confirmation that mine is to be delivered tomorrow and I’m thoroughly looking forward to it.

That is a beautiful watch. Really hoping to pick up a smiths while living in the UK for the next few years. Would be a great reminder as to why I bought it forever more

  49. #399
In most respects, this looks like a really well-executed watch but I cannot restrain myself from expressing my bemusement at the use of faux-vintage lume. I imagine that its use would put off more people than it would sway into a purchase. The original white lume, for me, looked much more appealing, to the extent that I might have been tempted to throw my hat into the ring. All just my opinion of course, which i know counts for nothing and in any case, I am sure that Eddie will sell every single one of these without any difficulty.
