which watch goes with a hornback strap.

Hi, I have a number of fairly small art deco style watches. Whether oblong or round they are not larger than about 35mm. I came across several Vietnam strap makers on ebay charging in the region of £35.00 for very nice looking and unusual straps. The majority of strap makers in the UK and US charge considerably more. Anyway I am rather taken with alligator/croc hornback straps but am concerned that they might look ridiculous on my small watches and are perhaps better suited for larger watches around 40mm to 45mm.
I would very much appreciate opinions. thanks

I couldn't comment on the look of the straps with certain watches. I can say though I had a couple of straps made by a Vietnamese maker. Are they the best quality straps I've handled, well no. But they certainly were better that straps in their price range over here.

They look OK on large watches (just and based on the ridges), but would overwhelm a small watch.

    Not my taste though

Sharkskin would look better on a small watch and still provide some structure.
