    Absolute hero’s...

    Just seen this footage on Sky News, just makes me feel much safer knowing we have teams like this available in the event of something going wrong at sea...

    Still remember getting evacuated from a Gas Platform years ago down south by the Coastguard in really bad weather, superb rescue teams...

    Personally I would have been off in the free fall lifeboat rather than jumping off the back in a survival suit. Done the training in those lots over the years and seems a better option than the very last resort of going in the water.

    Yes lifeboat all the time unless there is no other option and I guess it is when you need to make that decision that is the difficult one.

    Thankfully the nearest I got was the gas alarms going off at 0300ish in the morning and rushing to muster stations and waiting for the all clear.
