Wait until it appreciates then bang it on SC. Someone will pay what the market dictates, and you’ll be a good old TZUKer. Best keep it in the safe until then though; wearing, er I mean carrying a £5 note just isn’t the done thing as you’ll want to protect your investment.

Reminds me of growing up; whenever my dad paid with a bank note, he’d always memorise the last 4 digits of the serial number before handing it over, so if he was ‘short changed’, he could prove he’d given a £20 not a £10! I don’t think it ever happened though, but he’d have been well prepared if it had!

It look's exactly like the one I lost a few weeks ago. Could it be mine if so you can add it to the fundraiser

Years ago my father found £80 on the pavement outside a Woolworths store. He took it to the local police station. When he got home he realised that he had £80 missing from his back pocket Interesting phone call to the police station followed.

I started doing that years back after I was short changed by a tenner. Now I can’t remember the last time I handed over a note to pay for something

It’s those new notes they slide out of pockets easier. The people that do the volunteer litter picking are finding loads of them.

Back in the olden days, I got off a chairlift and a snowboarder elbowed me in the stomach as he pushed off.
A 500 franc note fell out of his salopette pocket and I picked it up

He'd virtually winded me with his elbow, I couldn't shout.

I tried to catch up with him, a bit.

Bought dinner +wine that evening for my mates

I'm sure a lot of skiers think there should be a Five hundred franc fine for snowboarding

Sounds like an episode of ‘Count Arthur Strong’

I have a little pot on the hallway window sill into which I religiously deposit "found outside" money. I've promised myself an Easyjet flight to abroad. Just counted, and there's nigh-on £60, so I might even get a return ticket!!

I am from the 'olden days' and snowboarding was yet to be invented!

Reminds me of an Emo Phillips line - "I found a wallet in the street yesterday and wondered what to do with it. I thought to myself "if I lost my wallet, what would I want to happen?" and then I realised, I would want to be taught a lesson..."
