"This year TUDOR presents unique versions of its Black Bay Fifty-Eight model, a new Black Bay Chrono model in steel, and is also introducing new versions of the Black Bay 32/36/41 and 1926."

Is what I can get from the website, whilst it is down...

I saw the youtube presentation and it's quite obnoxious.

    Interesting tweaks though.

"Display back on a Dive watch, yep" Who'd have thought it. Well just about every other watch brand on the planet.

I like the Taupe, but silver - why?

I do quite like the new black bay chrono, but wished they got rid of the rivet bracelet...almost 7/10 for me

Luckily nothing to make me want to open my wallet. With a silver snd gold 58 they are signalling their intention to become more premium.

The Tudor presentation was cringe. Was thinking of getting a Tudor soon, but that release video and Beckham as a brand ambassador has me out. The watches released are dull. A silver case is a nice idea, but not sure it works on a dive watch. Shame - swing and a miss, I think..

They have finally made it thinner by 1mm though. Glad they did that but still thick at 14.4mm.

    Boom!

The 15 year old me wouldn’t have had either the money or the interest, so I wonder who this is aimed at.

Rolex should sell the brand. What a mess.

Chrono on a bracelet 4500 euros? £4150???? how can they justify that are they trying to get to Rolex prices?

I'm getting invalid URL where the North Flag previously lived, does that mean it's discontinued or the website is still broken?

Gonna respectfully disagree on this. I think the Silver BB58 with that greyish brown Bezel looks absolutely great. Some questions about the open case back for sure, it’s not the prettiest movement, but I don’t think it ruins the watch. Personally I think they’ve done really well with it.

    The Gold BB58 I like the idea but I don’t think I’d ever spend £12k on a Black Bay...ever.

I'm not in the market for them however I think that the new chronos and silver and gold cased BB58s are actually quite classy.

So the 39mm Explorer is shrunk back to 36mm and Tudor release 2 new 39mm BBs... I can't be sure however last time I looked on Tudor's site (can't get on it right now) I think that the BB36 has been discontinued, as well.

Edit to add the BB36 can't be discontinued, they've just released a silver dialed version of it along with 41mm and 32mm models.

I can't help but think the 18k gold version would sell more if it was black dial, they could have also done a rose gold and used the same dial, hands and bezel from the original BB58 black

I couldn't even finish the video, that voiceover was horrible. Reminded me of the super irritating voice overs that always have to accompany rally games these days which pretty much stopped me playing them.

I seem to get far more easily irritated as I get older.

I bet they are kicking themselves at Omegas bronze gold, such a clever way of getting a gold watch while not having to pay the huge premiums

The white dial chrono would be my easy choice. Decent size too. As a wearer of a pretty thick 9300 based Speedy the 14mm is fine with me.

Edit: This makes it hard for me to decide now of the recent releases. I think in order of pref:

    1) White dial Chrono on bracelet TIE White dial Explorer 2 with new PR
    2) BLNR (been on ze list for ages but a new AD I have been introduced to seemed hopeful)

I think Tudor have done really well this year, although I think to knock it out the park they should have released a GMT BB58

A chrono from Rolex costs a fair bit more than £4k at retail, let alone on secondary

what is the process for these watches is it a case of putting down a deposit at the AD? what is the likely wait times?

Nothing of interest for me, but Tudor know their customers and that video suits their preferred audience. I though "weekend proof" was a nice piece of marketing.

Agree with both comments, £4K definitely on the higher end of Tudor’s prices but not far from Omega’s. High, but in line with competition and appropriate for the package.

Also, likely to get discounts at ADs and cheaper on the secondary market once they hit it.

Hell the latest Breitling chrono release is over 7k so I think 4.1k for the Tudor is pretty good value. I think my speedy topped out at 5.9K three years ago before it was discontinued.

Its a fair bit cheaper (nearly half price) than an Omega chronograph.

The new chronos look a winner to me. The thinner case is the main thing for me. Looks to have a much better profile. 4K not bad especially as they will be available after the initial fuss has died down.

Yeah I think it’s good value to be honest. I don’t think there is a watch as well made with the brand pedigree for less.

  46. #96
The chrono is the best release but I’m generally underwhelmed. Tudor are simultaneously running out of ideas and losing their way: gold and silver tool watches from the affordable sister brand to Rolex is silly.

IMO the pélagos remains Tudor’s best watch. Why can’t they stick that in a smaller case??

No luck on my ranger reissue hopes either.

  47. #97
Horrible marketing aside, it’s a white dial chrono for me I think. Also liked the silver dial black bay.

I also lost out on my want for the BB36/41 to be upgraded to an in house movement. I suppose they concentrated on the big sellers initially this time around.
