My PRS25 Miyota 9015 movement doest have any backlash when I wind it. So cant help other than to say I don’t have an issue
I have a couple of watches with 9015s. One the them has started to have about a half turn of backlash in the crown when setting the time. Is this normal or is something slipping? Otherwise all seems well.

I've got about 3 or 4 with the 9015 in and nothing when setting the time with any of them.
The crown has about half a turn of backlash, ie there is half a turn between moving the hands forward or back where the crown is not engaging. Don't want to take the back off because I'm not sussed enough to know what could be wrong and I would risk disturbing the seal for no reason.

It does not appear to be. Just realised that sometimes it's OK, but mostly there is this backlash. Not particularly bothered because I can still set the hands. Just intrigued as to what would be the cause. If it gets to the point of not being able to set the time, then I will have to get it fixed.
Fingers crossed then if it gets to that point it turns out to be nothing.
No fault on anything is unique. I'm sure backlash on the time setting function has happened to other watches. Maybe one of our resident watch engineers has come across it and knows what the possible cause(s) are.
